FC Marina continues its commitment to developing complete footballers by organizing a dedicated Special Goalkeeper Training Session at our Vanagaram training facility. Understanding the importance of the goalkeeper’s role in modern football, this session was specially designed to enhance the technical, physical, and mental skills of our young aspiring keepers.

The session was led by our qualified U16 Goalkeeper Coach, who brought structured drills, professional training methods, and match-focused learning to our small players. The objective was clear — to build a strong foundation in goalkeeping from an early age.

Focus Areas of the Session
The training program concentrated on essential goalkeeping fundamentals, including:
Proper catching and ball-handling techniques
Diving and safe landing methods
Footwork and positioning inside the penalty area
Reflex training and reaction speed
Communication with defenders
Game awareness and decision-making
Each drill was carefully planned to improve confidence, coordination, and discipline among the young goalkeepers. The coach ensured individual attention was given to every player, correcting posture, technique, and movement to help them grow technically sound.

Practice Match Experience for Goalkeepers
To reinforce the training, FC Marina conducted a special practice match session focused on goalkeepers. This provided the perfect platform for them to apply what they learned in real-time match situations.
During the practice match, the goalkeepers:
Faced live attacking scenarios
Practiced one-on-one saves
Organized their defense
Made quick decisions under pressure

Building Future-Ready Goalkeepers
At FC Marina, we believe goalkeepers are not just shot-stoppers — they are leaders on the field. By conducting specialized sessions like this at Vanagaram, we ensure our young players receive professional-level training that prepares them for competitive football.
